I paid $299 for it. I have found it $20 cheaper just the other day on sale from another retailer, but I am not complaining... I was satisfied with the price I paid.The ND-5 is amazing. For a survival light, it can't be beat. You can signal with it a long ways off. I took it coyote hunting once since I had it. Didn't see any yotes, but did pick up some deer. It was incredible how bright their eyes lit up! I wasn't very good at it, but my buddy could pick up frogs eyes with it. The frogs didn't like it and would close their eyes after a short time. When scanning with a wide beam, if something passes between you and the dim green of the wide beam, it would light up bright. The closer it is the brighter it would be. If you scan thick woods, the beam has to be very wide. If it is tight, there is too many distracting reflections all around. Sometimes in the thick woods, it is almost too bright and you are better off without a light,... Its neat, but one thing for sure is its not worth $260+ dollars, maybe more in the 75-100 dollar range would make it worth while. They claim that it can illuminate objects up to 400 yards with the beam widened, well at its widest its usefull out to about 20 yards.
